All deposition transcripts are available on both a standard and expedited basis and can be accompanied by a Condensed Transcript and Full-Text Word Index and a CD-Rom.
We can convert any transcript into miniature format through the use of a CD. Each page of the condensed transcript contains eight pages of printed transcript, reducing a 200-page transcript to 25 pages. Each condensed transcript has a complete key word index attached, listing every word in the transcript, number of occurrences, and page/line references. E-Transcripts by RealLegal® are available with their own seach engines.
This universal computer language can be read by any litigation support software. CD's are provided upon request.
Rough CD's are also available. This option should be ordered when the deposition is scheduled. After the deposition, reporters can provide a rough draft of the deposition in text form. The reporter will note that the copy is not edited, not certified and not in final form. Page numbers and line numbers will not match the certified transcript when it is received. It is best to delete or dispose of this draft when the final transcript arrives.
Realtime transcription is the instantaneous translation of steno notes into English. This technology enables an attorney to hook up his or her laptop computer to the court reporter's laptop and steno machine. The attorney will be able to immediately view the translated English text of a deposition on their computer screen as the deposition takes place, add notes to the testimony and scroll up or down to review in preparation for cross examination. The resulting real-time draft can aid in preparing for the next deposition and can also be easily shared with co-counsel or experts. It is also more efficient to use realtime if an interpreter is being used for the deposition.
This rough draft transcript can deliver many advantages, including eliminating the need for note taking, therefore increasing the attorney's comprehension and control.
We archive every transcript generated by our reporters. This is a valuable feature in the event a transcript needs to be produced at any time... even years later... after the original transcript is prepared.
Should a conference room be necessary for an upcoming deposition, we will schedule one whenever and wherever needed. We can also provide a conference room in our facilities in Thousand Oaks.
We specialize in audio and video transcription. The transcription of your audio is done confidentially and professionally. Transcription experts will provide you with transcribed and proofed text to your satisfaction.
We offer a complete range of video services and post-production procedures. Our videographers are familiar with the applicable sections of the Code of Civil Procedure and are licensed Notaries Public as required by law.
Getting a handle on the sometimes overwhelming number of exhibits and documents involved in a case can be a full-time job. At your request, we will scan all exhibits for archival. This means you can request a CD-ROM containing all the exhibits to a particular case or deposition at the time of the deposition or just before trial. Since each CD-ROM will hold thousands of pages of documents, you can carry boxes of exhibits in your briefcase.
We also provide document indexing, Bates stamping, imaging and copying services, including over-sized and color copying of blueprints and photographs.
